My biggest criticism is that we inherited the Christian tendency to pretend that absorbed traditions were never NOT part of our traditions. This is both to the detriment of the religions that we absorb traditions from - which almost always have been oppressed by the same Christian tradition that we are fleeing from - and to our own. The former because we’re dishonoring them by ignoring them...
