That makes the assumption that trans guys ever transition at all. Some don’t. And it makes the assumption that trans women never had any privilege to begin with. Which is completely untrue, you grew up with it. While we’re on the subject, just because a group of people experiences “less hate” (a thing that cannot possibly be measured), doesn’t make another group worthy of scorn from their own. Trans women need to have more kindness to trans men rather than treating us like the enemy. Also… when you have tranny used at you, you have every right to reclaim it. I’m sorry, you’re not the only ones that have it used at you. You don’t own the word. It isn’t a trans female slur only. I’ve personally had it flung at me, so fuck off on that front.

If you want respect from the guys, try giving a little rather than treating us like second class garbage because “you were openly trans first” or something, which is untrue. Men have been overlooked, underfunded, under researched, stepped over, and pushed aside so that ladies can succeed before us. You have more inexpensive options and more successful procedures. You have support groups specifically designed for you and even the ones that aren’t get taken over by women and suddenly guys aren’t welcome in them. Who is really privileged among the trans? Women. Don’t treat us like we’re stupid. I’m so sick of all the pointing fingers and bickering bullshit rather than getting along as a group, we’d all rather cry about who is more oppressed than someone else and who has more privileges.

And here I am yesterday angry on behalf of trans women and defending you against cis people only to read this and be reminded once again of all the ways trans women have treated me like trash since the first time I found the trans community. So lets settle on a medium… you grew up with male privilege, some of you might give it up, we grew up without male privilege and some of us might gain it. There. Happy?
