Also binarism and inaccurate. Passing privilege for being male, and passing privilege for being cis are intersecting and fluctuating for pretty much all trans people at some point or another and some cis people with atypical gender expression most likely experience this as well. Framing this around pre and post transition is not helpful.

The point was that at least in my experience, I’ve never had what could exactly be called “male privilege.” Or at least whatever male privilege I had was offset with a lot of misogyny and internally complicated by identity denial. And I was trying to make the point that what I had could only have been called “male privilege” if a cis gay kid closeted for their own survival could be said to have heterosexual privilege.

Does that make any more sense?
